Arguably one of the best hikes in Ireland with a distance of 10k, a challenging but enjoyable day with numerous walking routes to the summit to choose from. No activity holiday would be complete without a hike to Ireland’s highest mountain. The Highest Peak in Ireland at a height of 1039m, and the centre point of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks. The most popular ascent is from the entrance to the Hags Glen, at Cronin’s Yard. The climb is strenuous, but the views of the entire Iveragh and Dingle Peninsulas are outstanding. Climbing this magnificent mountain is a great achievement and so rewarding. One a clear day you can see why Kerry is the Kingdom!
