The choice of walking trails on offer cover a range of walking abilities from the challenge of The Reeks and Carrantuohill to ambling through the National Park.
All our walks are led by experienced walk leaders who are there to ensure that the correct routes are followed and carry all necessary equipment for the safety of the group. They have a great wealth of knowledge about the mountains and hills as well as providing interesting information on the beautiful scenic landscape.
A native of Limerick City Ray is married to his business partner Mary and they have two teenage sons. Their business Walk With Me, (www.walkwithme.ie
) specialises in guided walking on low level tracks and trails in Killarney’s National Park and County Kerry. They also provide a guiding service on the Classic Climbs in Kerry such as Carrauntoohil, The MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, Mangerton and Brandon. Walk With Me also offers guided motor tours in Kerry and throughout Ireland in their customised 8 seater Volkswagen Transporter TDI touring vehicle. Ray has lived in Killarney since 1984, having first come to County Kerry in 1981 and worked as a Garda Sergeant (Policeman) until his retirement in December 2011. He is an Irish Heart Foundation certified Community Walking Leader, a member of Killarney Golf & Fishing Club and a founding member of the Kerry Garda Hillwalking. Mary has lived and worked in Killarney since 1983 and has developed a close bond and love of County Kerry, it’s fabulous scenery and people. A native of Newcastle West, County Limerick having retired from the banking industry in 2010 Mary has since developed a career in Tourism and is a Fáilte Ireland (Irish State Tourism Board) qualified Marine & Countryside Tour Guide and is currently employed on a part time basis as a Tourism Coordinator with “Go Kerry”.
Valerie O’Sullivan is a full time Photographer, based in Killarney, Co Kerry and is a regular contributor to National Print Media – namely, The Irish Times, Examiner Newspaper, Irish Farmers Journal, Sunday Times, Outsider Magazine, Mountain Log, Press Association News Agency. Her clients include, Maxwells News/PR Agency, Gleneagle Hotel, Muckross House, Killarney, Béaloideas Chiarraí and Kerry way Folklore Project. She has won many National Awards the AIB Press Photographers Association Annual Competition and recently she has expanded her portfolio to include videography, working with Brian Coakley of activeme.ie tourism media provider, collecting data, GPS, mapping, Video, and Photography to enhance the experience of the visitor using apps, social media and websites. She enjoys trekking in the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks with friends, and the tranquillity (not often, just coxing nowadays) of Lough Lein, rowing and club pro with the Workmen’s Rowing Club. She is also a trustee of the White Tailed Eagle Project, and volunteer with GOAL International Humanitarian Organisation.

John O’ Sullivan
Born and raised on the foothills of the McGuillycuddy Reeks, where his family are fourth generation landowners, John O’Sullivan spent his childhood working with his father sheep farming in the mountain terrain of The Reeks. He has now been climbing The Reeks for over 3 decades and has an intimate knowledge of the peaks, valleys and hidden glens of these beautiful mountains. A professional photographer, John has been a voluntary member of Kerry Mountain Rescue for the past 20 years and operates and runs The Lodge and Reeks Guiding Company, lodgeandreeksguiding.com. From his vast experience and knowledge of the terrain Johns guiding business offers a diverse range of walks, climbs and challenges in The Reeks to cater for all levels of Fitness. Covering The Kerry Way, Dingle Way, Cliffs of Moher and Day Trips to mountain walks and climbs in the South West.
